Using our price data

You can use Price Board data on your own site, in your newsletter or in your research, free. These are the rules.

The rules

  1. It's free. There's no charge to use the embed or the data feed.
  2. Credit us with a link. Wherever the data appears, say "Prices from Optimized Daily Report" and link to optimized.news. The embed and the feed include this credit. Keep it.
  3. Keep the read dates. Every price was read on a specific day. Show that date next to the price, and don't present an old price as current.
  4. Don't resell it. Don't sell the data, or repackage it as a paid data product, API or database. Using it in your own free or paid editorial work, with credit, is fine.
  5. We can turn off access. We may revoke a feed key, block an embed or change these terms at any time, for any reason, including misuse or heavy traffic.
  6. No guarantee. These are public list prices, copied from each seller's own page on the date shown. Sellers change prices without notice, and we can make mistakes. The data is provided as is.
  7. Not medical or legal advice. A listed price isn't a recommendation, and it isn't a statement that a product is legal, safe or right for anyone. Some rows carry flags, such as "FDA Category 2" or "Not FDA-approved". If you show those rows, show the flags too.

Embed a table

Paste this on your page and replace YOUR-SITE with a short name for your site, using lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Change category to show a different list.

The embed shows up to 3 prices per category. For every row, ask for a feed key.

Data feed

Subscribers can get a key for a JSON or CSV feed of the full board. Keys are issued only to an address that's subscribed to the weekday email. To ask for one, reply to any ODR email from that address and tell us the site or project it's for. Each response carries the credit text, links and a read date on every row. Send the key with Authorization: Bearer or as ?key=, add format=csv for CSV and category= to filter. The board changes once a week, so a daily fetch is plenty. Keys have a daily request limit.
